You know, sometimes I wonder if a photographer should also be a botanist so that he would be able to accurately describe the photo he has taken. Well, seeing as how I am not a botanist I reckon I will just call this baby a pretty red flower. (It turns out that it is a daisy, no thanks to Google.)

I know exactly what you mean! I am very uneducated when it comes to that sort of thing. Identifying flowers, insects and the like. I need to get me some books to that end!

Yeah, I tried to Google it but it turns out it wasn’t a carnation.
Shows how much I know. Flower wasn’t all that big, I just got pretty close. Made quite an impressive wallpaper.

Googling something like that is hit or miss, usually the latter! Sometimes the only thing that helps me is searching it in relation to the state I am in. Sometimes I get lucky and hit something that is native or common to my area!
carnations are far less complex that that guy….and yet I have no idea what it is still!
When all else fails it is time to bring out the old Gardening Book. It turns out that it is a daisy, and what a fitting name it is too. I reckon Google was left for dead on this occasion.
