While I was in Sydney I took a whole lot of shots of the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge and other touristy type photos. The sole intention was to include them in this and other blogs that I own. It never occurred to me that people wouldn’t be interested because it had been done so many times before because I believe that every photo is different. This is true because there are so many factors involved when taking a photo that make each photo unique. Lets consider some of them.

  1. The photographer alone is an important factor as they may consider different viewpoints and framing etc.
  2. The time of day which may affect lighting etc.
  3. The presence or lack of clouds.
  4. Night shots can also differ a lot depending on the chosen exposure levels

I say this so that up and coming amateur photographers  are not disueded from taking photos of popular subjects just because they think that it has all been done before. I’ve taken so many shots of Sydney that I have decided to give them a category all of their own.

Here is a closeup of one facet of the Opera House.

And here is another from a completely different angle. I particularly like the way the sun reflects of the tiles on the roof.
