More Flowers To Admire
Just thought I would add some more flowers to the site. The first is of a lily taken after one of our rare rainfalls.
I’ve always thought that flowers make perfect subjects unless you try to take a photo on a windy day. If it’s a very bright day you could use a fast shutter speed to try an freeze out any movement in the plant, otherwise you may need a bit of patience while you wait for a lull in the breeze.
Oh, and just so you know, all these flowers, and the parsley, reside in my Mom’s garden. I’ve always said that she had a green thumb.
This one is of some small dainty like daises, again taken after a recent shower.
OK, I don’t really know what this next one is, but the petals are quite delicate and colorful.
Yeah, you got me on this one, it’s not a flower at all, but seeing as how I took it all on the same day I thought it only fitting I include it in the same post. This one is a photo of water drops on parsley leaves.
The FlexSqueeze Theme gives my blog that professional look. I loved it so much that I bought the developers license. It's the easiest most customizable theme I've come across. See how easy it is to change your theme's appearance! Compare it to Thesis to see how much better it is! I am so thrilled with this theme that I highly recommend you to get your FlexSqueeze theme today! Like this post? Show your appreciation by buying me a coffee.

I guess the earth so admired the flower it began to weep raindrops. Lovely!

Thanks Jay. The earth weeping raindrops, defying gravity, now that would be something to see.

Beautiful flower shots! And the rain drop shots are always special.
The first thing I really started to appreciate when I started taking photographs was flowers. I used to think flowers were pretty boring, but the colors are so lovely! The third photo is a perfect example :)
It’s not just the color, some even offer some nice textures as well.

Hi Sire. Great to stumble along your site here and your other site! Good info and nice to see a fellow photographer too! Great flower pictures. What camera were you using? And to replicate that rain effect on a little drier day you can actually use a nice 50/50 mix of water and glycerin. Keep it up!

Justin, it’s just a little point and shoot. (lumixDMC-FX50 7.2mp)
I’d rather be using a digital SLR but haven’t quite saved up for a half decent one yet.
Thanks for the tip.
Hi again.
Vincenti has reassured me, so I wanted to let you know that I think your photos are very fine pieces of representative art.
You have captured the soul of these creations of nature.
Instead of just taking pictures, you obviously invested time to search out “compositions,” and then execute exposures in sync with the surrounding light.
I also enjoyed the balance of the photos without too much weight on any one side, but all planned out in perfect harmony, one petal or flower segment with the other, and those in turn with their backgrounds.
All in all, seeing this work in a portfolio, I would trust this photographer with the most difficult assignments.
Great Work!

I’m glad you liked the photos Beth, and just so you know I’m not a professional at all, I’m just a guy who likes to take the occasional photo.

Thanks Anne, I’m glad you liked it and hope your friend will as well.
I love those shots. The Carnation (the white with red trim) is stunningly well done, man. Those are all gorgeous. I point and shoot myself. Thank God for digital cameras, lol.

Yeah, especially when they are so small these days that you can carry them with you anywhere.
