I reckon no matter how many photos there are of any one subject it would be pretty hard to find two that are completely identical. This is because there are so many factors involved in the taking of any one subject. These factors would include lighting, the camera, camera lens, the person taking the photo, and the where that person is standing and how he or she is framing the shot.
The last one is all to do with perspective. You may be some distance away and having to zoom in or you may be close to the subject causing you to use more of a wide angle shot. A lot also depends on the angle of the shot and how that particular angle may include different facets of the background and I’m sure we will all agree that the background has a lot to do with the composition of any particular photo.
Take these series of shots, they’re all of the same subject but each one is different. The funny thing is that not everyone will have the same opinion as to which shot they like the most.
This series is of a dead tree standing in the middle of Sydney somewhere. I came across it when I was walking to the Sydney Markets and what made it stand out to me was the way some of the branches were painted gold. I reckon it must have some significance and if anyone knows what that is I would appreciate you leaving a comment.

Personally I like the last one the best as I like the silhouette look it has against the sky background.
The FlexSqueeze Theme gives my blog that professional look. I loved it so much that I bought the developers license. It's the easiest most customizable theme I've come across. See how easy it is to change your theme's appearance! Compare it to Thesis to see how much better it is! There are some subjects that have been photographed so much that it becomes very hard to get a different shot – like the Eiffel tower or Taj Mahal, they both have this very well known angle that everybody seems to photograph – just Google image search them and you’ll see what I mean :) But getting in close and photographing the details – or maybe from a distance, far away, could give another interesting shot.
As you also show with your three pictures, perspective/angle does matter. Your first shot looks more like a holiday snapshot to me, but maybe that was the intention. The 3rd one is my favorite, it looks like you meant for it to be like that and it’s another angle too.
In general, I *like to try* and photograph things from an angle you don’t usually see them, though I don’t like to get down in the dirt so often I end up shooting from the usual boring angle of view :)

I bet you though Klaus that even though they look the same there will be something different about them if you were to study them closely, just as everyone’s fingers look the same when you get in close every finger print is unique.
Being able to take many photos of the same subject is one of the many positives of the digital era.
Thanks for stopping by mate.

Yeah of course, if you’re pixel peeping :D Nah, I know what you mean, the light, cloud, people etc., there will be small changes. But the overall subject will pretty much look the same – at least to probably 98% of the people you show the pictures to.

True, I’m just being a hard ass
So Klaus, how did you come by this particular post so quickly, especially as how I didn’t promote it in any way?
I’m a Ninja (who uses Google Reader) ;)

If you used Feedburner it would give you an idea of how many subscribers you have. But I can guarantee that you have at least one :)

I do use FeedBurner but not on this blog. Perhaps I should do something about that.
The last is the best for sure.
Causes an impression of grandeur.
