I tried a few different things in this series just to see what would happen. The first few uses a white ceramic dish to hold the water.

Reckon I caught this one just as it hit the water as you can still see the top of the drop.

Freezing the actual drop before impact.

The Big Splash

These were all taken with the flash.
I then changed to an orange plastic bowl for the next shots.

Interesting crater effect.

Another drop frozen in motion. Interesting the way the colors are inverted.

Remember that these were all taken with a point and shoot digital which presented several difficulties over and above one of timing. The worst one had to be focusing. It would have been so much easier if the camera had a manual focusing setting. Still I am pleased with the results.
<IMG class="alignleft" src="http://loadofbullshit.com/images/make-money.jpg"The FlexSqueeze Theme gives my blog that professional look. I loved it so much that I bought the developers license. It's the easiest most customizable theme I've come across. See how easy it is to change your theme's appearance! Compare it to Thesis to see how much better it is!
I am so thrilled with this theme that I highly recommend you to get your FlexSqueeze theme today!
Like this post?
